This place just keeps on giving. I haven’t yet worked my way through the extensive mainland and islands menu but I’ve not had a disappointment yet. I’m often tempted to go for the last dish I had because I know it was great but the owner tries to steer me on to pastures new diverting me from the ‘drunken chicken’ with brandy and cream to the breast with garlic, cream and feta with Greek roast potato. Astounding.
Following starters of haloumi, tomato and garlic prawns and spicy meat balls my compatriots joined my main dish with a spectacular mixed grill and a contrasting vegetarian moussaka. Unable to decide on our favourite sides, a complimentary dish of cracked wheat came to our table – a lot more exciting than it sounds. Service, food and atmosphere as great as ever. No wonder I’m a regular.
